Pictures in The Square

My sister Nicole was so nice and took pictures of the boys.  There's the cutest little square of shops in her town, Collierville, and that's where she took the pictures.

What handsome boys I have!
What a great photographer Nicole is!

Thanks Nicole!

Our Tennessee Christmas

The trip started with Miss Cara Ann's baptism.
What an awesome girl Cara is!
I had the opportunity to speak at her baptism.  It was such an honor to be able to do that :)

 Dressed for Church.
Ty and Isaac were soo tired that I opted not to take them to church to listen to them cry for an hour.
I wanted to enjoy :)

Christmas Morning opening gifts.
As always, totally spoiled kids!

Greg got to check out Beale St in downtown Memphis.
It was fun to have him see the sights!
The boys and I had already been.
We ate at a fish fry place.  I've never consumed a meal with so much grease in all my life!
How sad that Evan is so much younger than Isaac and yet his exact size.
Cute cousins!
Of course we had to take a trip to Target to get out and about.
Isaac is sportin' this super cool hat.

So fun!  So exhausted!
Tanner found Isaac asleep in the closet.
That's sayin' something because Isaac doesn't usually fall asleep ANYWHERE
except his bed...

Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us to Memphis and thanks Nicole and Dave for hosting an awesome vacation!
We love and cherish ANY and ALL the time we get to spend with family.

Frosty's Fun Club

Frosty's Fun Club .. Part 2

When it was time for school to start, Ty hadn't been 100% potty-trained so I didn't sign him up. Now he's rip-roarin' to go, but the next session of school doesn't start until January. I saw this little 'Frosty's Fun Club' and decided to sign him up. To him, it's school. So I took the first day of school pics in front of the house.
Ty was so excited to go to school!!!

Ty and Mommy makin' some cookies

When Isaac FINALLY takes a nap every day, it gives us some "Ty and Mommy" time. I try to do things with Ty that are next to impossible to do when wild little Isaac is awake. So I said to Ty, "What should we do today bud?". His response, "Let's make some cookies!"
So here we are...Making cookies. Ty helped every step of the way.
Thanks for being my little afternoon buddy Ty :)

After the trunk or treat

Los Serranos Ward Trunk or Treat

We had a great time at our ward Trunk or Treat. The costumes all turned out great. Tanner was a 'thug', although I didn't really see how his costume was a costume? But hey, he's 14....
Ty and Isaac were both so good about getting into their costumes. Ty, who hates being any kind of dirty, sat there and let me put the red paint on his face. And Isaac, who doesn't do ANYTHING he doesn't want to do, happily marched around in his costume.

It was a fun night!

What??? I can't hear you..

Tanner goes shooting with his Grandpa Markham from time to time and these are some of the headphones that he uses.  Isaac thinks they're great and wears them all over the house.  Isaac basically wants to be Tanner and Ty at all times!

The Ice Cream Truck

So we have the same ice cream truck that drives by our house in the late afternoon EVERY DAY! Yes, here in sunny CA, it's EVERY DAY. Ty and ice cream do not mix. Yes, he loves it. But he generally only eates a few bites and then loses interest. So needless to say, I try and avoid the truck. I have to admit that sometimes he'll hear the music and say,
"Hey Mom, ya hear that?" and I reply, "No bud, I don't hear it."
I know, I'm terrible.
Anyway, this particular afternoon Isaac was sleeping and I thought, "What the heck". He was so excited which made me feel guilty for not doing this sooner. But then when he only took 2 bites of his ice cream and was done. I felt a lot better....

The Hawes Family

The Hawes are such dear and wonderful friends.
They're like our family.
Both Shem and Luisa had birthdays this month so we had them over for a birthday dinner.
We are grateful for any time we get to spend with them.

Yo Gabba Gabba

Ty before the party. Anxiously waiting to go. After we had wrapped the present the day before Ty said, "Well, what are we waiting for Mommy? Let's get going..."

Ty was invited to his little buddy Ryder Startup's birthday party. They went to the set of the Yo Gabba Gabba show and watched it being filmed. Ty was so excited. He loves loves loves birthdays and so he was just thrilled that he was going to a birthday party.
Ty is a really social little guy. He's such a good friend. I have mom's tell me all the time that their son or daughter talk about their friend Ty and how he's such a nice friend.
He'll always greet you with a smile and a hello! He's rarely in a bad mood.
He's just a great little guy!
