Go Big or Go Home...

 32 years of blonde.
And now red...
(I can never take myself seriously when I have to take a picture of myself...Hence the funny face.)
I was at the park with my friends Barb and Julie.  I must have been having an awful hair day because I decided I needed a change.  I was either going to color it or chop it.

So Barb and I headed to Sally's, then to her house, and bingo...RED hair.

I like it!  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't freaked out at first.  It took me a few weeks to get totally used to.
Every time I saw my hair it threw me off.

But I can honestly say that now I love it.  It's a great change and I'm having fun with it!

Go Big or Go Home.  Right?

2012 Ragnar Relay HB to San Diego

Here's our 'Sole Sister' team the night before at Olive Garden
"carb-loading".
At our first exchange.  Van 1 had just finished their first legs.
Van 2 ran in the heat of the day.  It was about 100 degrees that day.  It was miserably hot.  One of the hardest runs.
Here I am sitting down after my first leg.  It was about 6 miles.
I'm pretty sure I had heat exhaustion because I was so hot, yet I was cold, shaking and had the chills.
First leg was really not that fun :(
Here we are supporting runners and spraying them as they ran by to keep them cool.
Thank heavens, the sun went down and here we are at the midnight exchange.  Van 1 had completed their 2nd legs and it was our turn and we would run through the middle of the night.

Here Wendy and I are in our night-time running gear.  My 2nd leg was only 5 miles and I started running around 1am.  I ran through the ghetto of Escondido.  Bars on all the windows.  Yah, that'll give you warm fuzzies in the pitch black all by yourself.  I wanted to beg the guys passing me by to slow down and run with me, but I didn't...Lived to tell the story :)
Saturday morning.  Got about an hour of sleep and now we're ready to take off again to start our 3rd leg.
I had an 11 mile run ahead of me and was so nervous.  I had never run that far and especially not on only about an hour of sleep.
And we did it!  Jump for joy.
Greg and the boys came down for the 3rd leg and to see us through the finish line.  That last leg of mine was long and it was so nice to see my boys drive by and cheer me on.  At one point they even got out of the car and handed me a water bottle.
At the end Greg told me as the runners were running through the tunnel to the finish line that Ty started to run as fast as he could with them.  He told me that the crowd cheered Ty on as he ran through the tunnel.
I wish I had a picture or was able to witness it.

I loved all the girls on this team.
The Ragnar was such a great experience.  All I can say was that weekend was and forever will be one of the most memorable of my life.  Words just can't describe it!  I had such a great time.  I ran 19.8 miles in about a 36 hour period.  I laughed a lot!  Even cried a little.  It was so neat to be part of something bigger than myself.  It's amazing what you can achieve when you have such a great team cheering you on.  Easily one of the best weekends of my life :)

Montana

My parents once again gave us the opportunity to spend time with one another.
Tanner and I were lucky to be able to go to Montana for Emma's blessing and Carter's baptism.
Greg was a TOTAL TEAM PLAYER and stayed home with Ty and Isaac.  Taking them on the plane to Memphis was all too fresh in our minds and we decided it would just be better to leave them home.
It was nice to be able to spend some one-on-one time with Tanner though.
It was a great trip.  We love Montana and miss being able to spend time with The Warnicks.

Emma in her blessing outfit.

Carter looking handsome as ever on his baptism day.

Family time at The Reef

And sold The Sno Shack!
Hala-freakin-leujeuh!!!!

(Thanks Natalie and Nicole for the pictures I stole from your blogs..ha!ha!)

Pictures in The Square

My sister Nicole was so nice and took pictures of the boys.  There's the cutest little square of shops in her town, Collierville, and that's where she took the pictures.

What handsome boys I have!
What a great photographer Nicole is!

Thanks Nicole!

Our Tennessee Christmas

The trip started with Miss Cara Ann's baptism.
What an awesome girl Cara is!
I had the opportunity to speak at her baptism.  It was such an honor to be able to do that :)

 Dressed for Church.
Ty and Isaac were soo tired that I opted not to take them to church to listen to them cry for an hour.
I wanted to enjoy :)

Christmas Morning opening gifts.
As always, totally spoiled kids!

Greg got to check out Beale St in downtown Memphis.
It was fun to have him see the sights!
The boys and I had already been.
We ate at a fish fry place.  I've never consumed a meal with so much grease in all my life!
How sad that Evan is so much younger than Isaac and yet his exact size.
Cute cousins!
Of course we had to take a trip to Target to get out and about.
Isaac is sportin' this super cool hat.

So fun!  So exhausted!
Tanner found Isaac asleep in the closet.
That's sayin' something because Isaac doesn't usually fall asleep ANYWHERE
except his bed...

Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us to Memphis and thanks Nicole and Dave for hosting an awesome vacation!
We love and cherish ANY and ALL the time we get to spend with family.

Frosty's Fun Club

Frosty's Fun Club .. Part 2

When it was time for school to start, Ty hadn't been 100% potty-trained so I didn't sign him up. Now he's rip-roarin' to go, but the next session of school doesn't start until January. I saw this little 'Frosty's Fun Club' and decided to sign him up. To him, it's school. So I took the first day of school pics in front of the house.
Ty was so excited to go to school!!!
